ABOUT AIPS

The Academic-Industry Partnerships Symposium (AIPS) is an interdisciplinary conference run by the Drug Discovery Network (DDN) which aims to build strategic partnerships in Drug Discovery.

 

AISP 2019 will be held on Wednesday, May 15th at INRS-Institut Armand Frappier. The day will consist of short presentations from professors and industry representatives about their research and collaboration needs. Following the presentations, there will be booths by industry representatives and research posters from academic groups. The day will conclude with drinks and a catered networking event. 

 

The goal of AIPS is to break down barriers between academic and industry researchers and encourage communications between the two groups. Despite common interests and goals in drug discovery,  there is often a lack of communications between these distinct groups. Experience has shown that extremely productive and fruitful research can be done at the interface between academia and industry, benefiting both parties. We hope to encourage such practices between groups by creating an opportunity to make connections and discuss potential projects with one another.
